California Youth Partnership (CYP) is committed to growing a healthy generation of future adults. We advocate for optimal health and thriving families. We believe that educating, equipping, and building agency in youth to choose wellbeing in all areas is foundational to their flourishing as individuals. When young people are supported to become resilient, safe, healthy, and economically secure, they are more likely to grow into adults who contribute positively to their families, communities, and our nation.

Through our programs, CYP foster the following seven protective factors in children:

  1. The presence of loving and supportive parents/adults.

  2. Positive self-perception

  3. Self-regulation skills

  4. Connection to faith and culture

  5. Parenting competencies

  6. Father/Mother’s well-being

  7. A positive school environment
