SERVING COMMUNITY
Volunteers aged 15 and younger are required to volunteer alongside a parent or guardian (18+) who must also go through the volunteer process. Volunteers age 16-17 may volunteer without an adult on site but they must have a parent/guardian sign the liability waiver. This program also satisfies school community service.

Teens are welcome to join advisory committees at the Redding & Red Bluff libraries. Teens meet regularly to discuss and make decisions about teen programs and book selections at their libraries. Many libraries offer volunteer programs for youth & teens.

The sanctuary needs reliable volunteers for a variety of roles, Wed and Sat. Both individual & group opportunities are available. You can help by being a docent at the Visitor’s Center where you’ll learn about the sanctuary to be able to greet visitors and answer their common questions.
