Sexual Risk Avoidance is a public health term that emphasizes on delaying sex as long as possible until healthy monogamous relationship such as marriage.

After comparing Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) and Sexual Risk Reduction(SRR) education, the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) found that SRA education is "truly in the best interest of children, families, communities, and society as a whole." Please read this position statement. ACPeds “recommends the adoption of SRA education by all school systems, with classes beginning in middle school and continuing through high school."
