After a physical altercation between peers, one of our students helped lead the conflict resolution meeting. He prompted the other students to remember a video shown during Hope Rising that showed how to have calm convos. I started and asked him to model the appropriate response. I said, "I am really mad that you punched me on the football field." The student responded with, "I am hearing you say that you are mad that I punched you on the football field." It was amazing to watch him lead and see his peers respond in a positive way. I was impressed and so thankful for the influence and impact Hope Rising has on our students. - school counselor
